Are you interested in a consistent way to assess technical candidates?
If so Redline Executive will be presenting at the Advanced Engineering Show on Tuesday 12th November at 4:15pm Forum 1.
The presentation will be focused on how to approach the use of Competency Based Interview techniques (CBI) aimed at the engineering and technical community.
Competency based interviews (also called structured or behavioural interviews) are more systematic, where each question is designed to test one or more specific skills or competency. Candidates are asked questions relating to their behaviour in specific circumstances, which they then need to back up with concrete examples. The answer is then matched against pre-decided criteria and marked accordingly.
Andy Raymond who is a qualified Thomas International Practitioner, trainer and twenty year veteran of the engineering and recruitment industry will be leading the seminar.
Speaking about the seminar Andy Raymond said –“This is an opportunity to bring our extensive knowledge and direct client observations to the daunting task of incorporating CBI techniques to engineering recruitment. Over the last few years I have run numerous client full and ½ day training seminars on how to approach this subject for what are broadly unique professionals. Hopefully the short seminar will give the delegates the confidence to start thinking about a more measureable and consistent interview process”.
